PEAS / SUGAR SNAP / MANGETOUT

Zimbabwe pea agronomic / farming information. Find out how to control insect pests, suppress weeds and manage diseases.

NUTRIENT INPUT

Carry out a nutrient analysis prior to planting. Pea are best suited to well drained fertile soils (sandy loam). Peas typically requires a blend with high potassium, phosphorus and only small amounts of nitrogen at planting ("Compound C"). Potassium, Nitrogen, and Calcium products should be topdressed through out the season.

Visit the Super fert website for more information.

Cropserve now stocks a comprehensive range of foliar fertilizers which can be used to rectify in-season nutrient deficiencies. Get in touch with a Cropserve agronomist for a foliar fertilizer spray programme.

Use the QRDC link to identify crop nutrient deficiencies and for an indepth explination of the nutrient requirements for peas.
